A great value wine fulfills the affordability, quality and suitability criteria for any occasion. Our latest Tasting Highlights includes a range of wines that can do just that, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and more. Whether you're entertaining guests or enjoying a casual midweek glass, these wines deliver the goods.
Atop the list is Wine Value of the Year–winning winery La Crema, which offers great values from both California and Oregon. In the latter, winemaker Craig McAllister used grapes from eight vineyards across five appellations of the Willamette Valley to craft an approachable and outstanding 2022 Pinot Noir, despite the challenges of that year's growing season. It's a bottling that captures the essence of Willamette Valley, with refined tannins and supple raspberry and cherry flavors.
This lineup also features Davis Bynum's Chardonnay Russian River Valley River West Vineyard 2022, which shows peach and apple cobbler notes. Read on to get our score and expert tasting note for this fantastic U.S. West Cost wine and seven others.
