There’s no debating that sparkling wine can be expensive. For instance, Champagne sales and exports have been declining in recent years, partly due to demand driving up prices. Meanwhile, bubbly fans may be looking for alternate options from other sparkling-wine sources around the world. You can start with these eight delicious yet affordable sparklers made in the United States. The average price, here, is around $30, and these bubblies are made in sizable volumes, which should make it easier to find them on shelves.

There are two wines from Domaine Chandon, including this selection's top scorer. Chandon’s parent company, Moët Hennessy, has an impressive global footprint, with wineries in Champagne, Napa Valley, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China and India. Domaine Chandon was established in Napa in 1973; today, winemaker Pauline Lhote, who began at the winery as an intern in 2006, oversees the extensive portfolio. This includes reserve bottlings like Domaine Chandon's rich and festive Pinot Noir Los Carneros Rosé Réserve as well as its flagship brut, which is supple yet brisk with fruit-forward flavors.

This lineup also includes Schramsberg's Brut Blanc de Blancs North Coast 2021, a refreshing bubbly with apple, lemon and yeast roll notes. Read on to get our score and full tasting note for this fantastic U.S. sparkling wine and seven others.
