Want to go see the Bears with the GOAT? When Simone Biles competed at the Paris Olympics this past summer, leading the U.S. Women’s Gymnastics Team to gold, she always had three of her most loyal fans in the crowd—her parents and her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens. Now Biles will be at Chicago’s Soldier Field on Nov. 17 to cheer Owens on when the Bears take on the Green Bay Packers. And four lucky wine lovers will get to join her on the sidelines and in a luxury suite for the game, thanks to a contest by Barefoot, the official wine sponsor of the NFL.
Barefoot, which is owned by Gallo and known for attracting new consumers to wine, announced the contest today. One lucky fan and three friends will get the opportunity to enjoy the NFL ‘WAG’ (wives and girlfriends) gameday experience with Biles, from pregame sideline access to watching the game from Barefoot’s “BandWAGon Box” suite.
The company held a similar contest last season, with four fans joining Donna Kelce, mom of Travis and Jason Kelce, as her sons took each other on during a Kansas City versus Philadelphia game. Barefoot winemaker Jen Wall joined Kelce and the winners for a Barefoot tasting during the event.
Biles knows how intense the Chicago-Green Bay rivalry is—Owens played for the Packers last season, so she has been on the sidelines for both teams now. “I understand that learning about football and wine can feel very overwhelming, but as a fan of the NFL and Barefoot Wine, I can speak from experience that you don’t need to know every sequence in the playbook or grape variety to enjoy both,” said Biles, in a statement. “But trust me, the rivalry between Chicago and Green Bay is real and the BandWAGon Box experience is going to be a lot of fun!”
To enter the contest, fans can visit @barefootwine on Instagram to leave a comment before Oct. 31 about why they want to win the Barefoot ‘BandWAGon Box’ gameday experience with Simone.
